What does the St. George
School Board do?
The St. George School Board recognizes the importance of Catholic Schools in the spiritual and academic development of our children. Committed to this ideal the
school board serves the school in many ways. We create school policy, establish
the school budget, stimulate parish and community interest in our school, advise
in planning the short-term and long-term goals of the school and help organize
major fundraising activities that help control tuition rates. We also organize
and participate in parent awareness, open house during Catholic Schools Week and
new student registration. This school year, regular school board meetings will
typically be held on the third Tuesday of each month. Please attend! All St.
George parishioners and school parents are welcome.
How can you contribute your to making St. George School the best it can be?
You could join one of our committees. The School Board has six standing
committees: budget/finance, public relations, fund-raising, planning, elections
and enrollment. This upcoming school year these committees will generally meet
on the first Tuesday of each month in the Parish life center. The school board
strongly promotes school parent/parishioner involvement in these committees.
Your participation is vital to their success. Committees are open to membership
by all St. George School Parents and Parishioners. If you would like to join a
school board committee please stop and talk with a board member at parent
awareness, join us at a committee night meeting, or contact the a committee
chairperson. More information regarding School Board Committee membership will
be provided during our parent awareness sessions on August. We need
your help in making St. George the best it can be.
Who is eligible for school board and how can you become a School Board Member?

board complete their three-year term. The school board typically holds elections
in March or April to fill these vacancies.. All St. George School parents and
